7 Things You Will Need at Your Next Soccer Tryout

Soccer tryouts can be an exciting time for kids who are looking to make a team, but it's important for parents and players to be prepared with the proper equipment. In this blog post, we'll go over the essential items that you will need to bring to a soccer tryout.

1. Soccer Cleats

You will need a pair of soccer cleats, which are specially designed shoes with studs or cleats on the bottom for traction on the field. Cleats come in different styles and materials, but look for a pair that fit well, provide good support, and are comfortable for you to wear.

2. Shin Guards

Shin guards are a must-have item for any soccer player, as they provide protection for the shins and lower legs. Make sure that your shin guards fit properly and are worn under the socks to ensure maximum protection.

3. Soccer Socks

You will also need a pair of soccer socks, which are typically long enough to cover the shin guards. Soccer socks can be made from a variety of materials, but look for a pair that will keep your feet dry and comfortable.

4. Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is essential for any athlete, so make sure you bring a water bottle to the tryout. A refillable water bottle is a good choice as it helps reduce plastic waste and keeps you hydrated throughout the tryout.

5. Soccer Ball

Some tryouts will provide soccer balls, but it's always a good idea to bring your own ball. Make sure the ball is properly inflated and of the correct size, depending on the player's age.

6. Athletic Clothing

You should wear athletic clothing that is comfortable and allows for freedom of movement. Avoid clothing with belt buckles, zippers or other hard items that could cause injury.

7. Sunscreen

If the tryout is held outdoors, it's important to protect your child from the sun. Apply sunscreen to exposed skin before the tryout to prevent sunburn.
